Melissa speaking here. You asked me that you are interested in entering Sabrina for show but want to know whether her structure is right or not. 1st of all, know your dog's breed standard. If she's a Miniature Poodle, she must have the correct conformation. Just do research online that's what I did & ask other good Poodle breeders & those who enter their Poodles for shows. They will know very well. You will get some negative feedbacks from some people saying that your dog's tail too short lah or whatever but doesn't matter, this is all about trying. Chloe's a little bit too tall but still she can win just as long as she looks great with good body structure. Check if her height, muzzle length, ears, tail, her bite, etc are correct. Then she must have the correct Poodle cut for the show. Not the cut that most pet Poodles have. Just look online on how show Poodles should look like. Sabrina cannot have the cut she has right now. It's wrong according to the breed standards. Then she must practice how to "pose" or "stand" & "stay". Then she must learn not to struggle when you stack her properly. She must also learn not to move or wriggle or lick or show aggression towards the judge when the judge examines her. Then you must also practice running with her to get the correct gait. They want the dog to trot, not pace. There's a lot of things you'll need to prepare before you decide to enter her for show. Need more help, you could always ask more question.s I'm an open book. Oh & can you just stack her & take a picture of her from her side & maybe email it to me so that I can see how she looks like. I am not a Poodle expert but I can help out a bit & see if she's okay for conformation shows or not.
Regards,
The Mommy, Melissa
